View of First Capitol Drive
The View of First Capitol Drive is a wonderfully unique view of St. Charles, using Golden Fluid Acrylics. This piece almost has the effect of melting, as water and gravity played an important role in creating this unusual mood This was certainly one of the most unique streetscapes painted during the first Annual Plein Air competition in St.Charles, MO. A gold plein air frame is stunning on this one of a kind paintings.

St.Charles-Missouri River
St.Charles-Missouri River is a 16×20 gallery wrapped piece that was painted during the first Annual Plein Air competition in St. Charles, MO. The shape of the group of trees against the backdrop of the river is what attracted me to this spot on the Katy Trail. The greens and blues in this piece were used to create an almost batik like effect using Golden Fluid Acrylics. This piece is ready to hang in a spot to brighten that special space.

Fluid Beauty Skyline
Fluid Beauty Skyline was painted from my imagination using a limited palette of Golden Fluid Acrylics. This great little piece has a beautiful skyline that sets off a cityscape in an usual way. A bright gold frame is perfect for this small piece that would fit just perfectly in many spaces.

Fluid Beauty IV
Fluid Beauty IV is one of my favorites. This was also painted with a limited palette. Look closely, and you will see the activity both on the river and above the river. Look carefully on the 370 bridge and you will notice a truck crossing the bridge into St. Louis County. I love the details in the drips and runs of paint in this lovely piece that is framed in a wide gold frame with a cream colored liner.

Fluid Beauty III
Fluid Beauty III , also painted with Golden Fluid Acrylics, was created in a horizontal format. This piece was painted concurrently with Fluid Beauty II, as I needed time for one piece to dry while the other piece was in progress. Although both of these pieces were started on an easel, they would end up laying flat on the ground to dry, as it was important to have the paint drip and run to a certain point, and then it had to dry before the next color was applied. Although fluid acrylics act like watercolor, since they are plastic, once dried can be exposed to more wet fluid acrylics without the first layer changing or running. The time factor is very important when painting in this manner. This painting of the Missouri River in St. Charles was part of the first Annual Plein Air competition. I love the mysterious feel of this river scape. This piece has a gold frame which complements this view of St. Charles.
